Telemarketing Warning (US Only)

How to display Telemarketing Warnings

Overview

It is regulatory requirement in the USA (only) to display a telemarketer notice to the start of every transaction, on every transfer, in every country and for every service option. The Telemarketer Notice must be displayed to the customer before quoting the transaction on the Quote API. The fraud warnings must be displayed to the customer before the transaction is executed (i.e. the transactionID resource is executed to MoneyGram on the Commit API).

How to implement

  1. Please display the exact content below in the UI of the application. This content must be shown to the user when the Update API Response shows a readyForCommit: "true" and before the final transaction summary is shown:

MONEYGRAM ALERT!

Sellers and telemarketers can’t take money transfer payments from people in the US for something they're selling through "telemarketing". Are you sending money for something a telemarketer sold you?

If yes, STOP. Don't send any money

If you select “YES” your transaction will be cancelled.

  1. The customer must acknowledge the Telemarketing Warning and be provided a clear option to discontinue/cancel the transaction. The following language must be used to acknowledge the Telemarketing Warning: "Review & Send":
